The Grounding Plan

It is time to tend the fire.

Who this is for

When it rains, it pours

It’s almost never one thing. The marriage ends the same season the job goes sideways. The death in the family lands on top of the money problem. The mind spins, sleep goes, food goes, and the days blur into each other.

What helps first is not insight. It is grounding. Where you live, what you eat, what happens with the money, what gets handled this week and what waits. A man can carry almost anything once it has an order.

the breakup, the divorce death and loss the boss, the work decision the money spiral narcissistic family police, courts, the aftermath
The waiting room problem

Help that arrives in nine weeks isn’t help tonight

In America, the median wait for an in-person psychiatric appointment is around nine weeks. Most psychiatrists aren’t taking new patients at all. The hotlines will listen tonight. But listening isn’t a plan, and there’s no one steady on the other end next Tuesday.

Your crisis doesn’t book nine weeks out. Neither do I.

The advice problem

Why you can’t just ask the people around you

You could talk to the people already in your life. But be honest about who they are. Some don’t have your best interest at heart. Some are quietly glad to see you down. Some are part of the very pattern that got you here. And some are good people who simply can’t run their own lives. You don’t take directions from a man who’s lost too.

So you end up with no one. Not because you’re weak. The options are genuinely bad. What’s missing is one steady, capable outsider with no stake in your old patterns and nothing to gain from your fall. That’s the seat I sit in.

Why me

I built what I needed and didn’t have

There was a stretch of my life when everything came down at once, and when I reached out for help, I got beaten over the head with batons for it. Bail took every dollar I had. The next morning I went to work and pretended nothing had happened, because there was no one to tell.

I got through it. Promoted at work. Not guilty in court. But I needed someone by my side, and I didn’t have anyone. This service exists so that you do.

What I bring to your situation is the same thing I ran teams with for fifteen years: problem solving, project management, real planning, folded into what suffering taught me. I use some of the most advanced software in the world to take the mess you’re carrying and distill it into something basic: what matters, what waits, what happens Monday.

Before anything else

The first 72 hours

Crisis narrows a man’s vision to a tunnel. The way back starts embarrassingly small, and it works.

Sleep

Everything is worse without it. It comes first, before any decision, before any conversation.

Real food

Three actual meals. Cooking one of them yourself does more than it should.

One move

Not ten. One handled thing a day: a call made, a paper filed. It rebuilds more than motivation ever will.

What happens

Simple, and in order

  1. Read this page once, slowly. Then pick the one thing that is on fire today. Not the whole life. The one thing.
  2. Write your own week. One handled thing a day, one meal you cook, one walk, bed by ten. Put it on paper, where you can see it. The example below is the shape.
  3. Keep the rhythm for thirty days. The plan changes as the days go. The rhythm does not.
  4. If you want a man beside you for it, write to me. The month in the Sacred Valley is the same work, done in person, with two other men.

Thirty days. Then you carry it yourself.

What makes this different

Not a couch, not a pep talk, not a waitlist

Versus therapy

Therapy looks back and inward, an hour a week, starting in two months. This starts this week and looks at Tuesday. Many men do both. They don’t compete.

Versus a hotline

A hotline listens tonight and is gone tomorrow. This is the same man, with your plan in front of him, every time.

Versus a life coach

No frameworks, no upsells, no vision boards. A written plan with your real numbers in it, from a man who has used one to survive.

Versus doing it alone

Alone is how the spiral wins. One steady voice across the month changes the math more than it should.

What this is not

No clinic, no labels

This is not therapy or counseling, and it is not medical care. I’m not a doctor and I won’t pretend to be one. Nobody here diagnoses you, and nobody here thinks you’re broken.

If you’re having thoughts of ending it: I’ve carried those, and I know how heavy they get when you carry them alone. That’s the part that kills: the alone. Write to me today. Not to buy anything. Just write.

Questions

Is this therapy?

No. It’s practical planning and steady support from a man with lived experience. No diagnosing, no treatment. If you have a therapist, this sits alongside that work.

What if I can’t afford it right now?

Write anyway and say so. I’ve been the man who couldn’t. We’ll work something out or I’ll point you somewhere honest.

My philosophy

There is nothing to add. No new course, framework, medication, philosophy. The work is removing: the filth in the body, the filth in the mind, the distractions. When mind and body integrate with the spirit, we remember who we are in our divine perfection. It is time to come home to our hearts and do what is right, without permission or outside validation. This is the work I do on myself every day. My hope is to share the remembering with you, so we wake up together with the sun in our eyes and joy in our hearts.
